EQ Tap™

Owner-to-carer handovers

A horse care handover that stays connected to the horse.

A good handover is not simply a list of feeds. It explains the horse's normal routine, handling, boundaries, warning signs and the decisions a carer is authorised to make. EQ Tap keeps those instructions together and limits access to the people who need them.

What a complete handover should answer

The carer needs to know what happens in the morning and evening, exact feed and forage arrangements, turnout expectations, rugging, medication, equipment location and what is normal for the horse.

They may also need clear boundaries: what they must not do, when to call the owner, when to contact the vet and what spending or transport authority has been agreed.

Access should end when responsibility ends

EQ Tap links the handover to the carer's verified account and the specific horse. Access can be selected for a period or revoked immediately by the owner.

This avoids sending a permanent copy of sensitive information that remains accessible long after the care arrangement has finished.

Handle changing instructions properly

Care plans change. Feed may be adjusted, turnout arrangements move, medication starts or a handling warning becomes more important. EQ Tap can show an active carer the relevant updates before reopening the care guide.

The acknowledgement record does not replace conversation. It gives both parties a clearer operational trail and a prompt to discuss anything that is not understood.

Straight answers

Common questions

Can the owner remove access immediately?

Yes. Horse-specific carer access can be revoked by the owner.

Can different carers have different access periods?

Yes. Each assignment or invitation can be managed separately.

Are care changes recorded?

Relevant updates can be presented to active carers for acknowledgement before they continue.

Is a handover a substitute for speaking to the carer?

No. It provides a consistent written guide and change trail, but unclear or urgent matters should still be discussed directly.
